White Space (El Blanco's Archive):Room 303 - NAID '96

<-- One of the defining moments for me as a scener was when I attended NAID '96 in Montreal Canada at the College Edouard Montpetit in Longueuil. Outside of local scene functions held in Kneebiter's basement, I had never had the opportunity to attend a major party. The demoscene was still growing in the Americas and would likely never reach the size of the Northern European scene. So NAID was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. After dredging the internet a bit I found all the material from my time there that I could get my hands on. There are still plenty of places on the internet with better information on that party than what I'm presenting here. I only wish to archive and show my time at that greatest of all North American demoparties so far. The entries are listed here exactly as I entered them so no fancy info pages. Party Entries Music Dual Complex 1st place in the 32k 3channel chip compo (out of 11) Desert Sands 7th place in the multi-channel music compo (out of 72) Not entered Unimaginable Power - almost entered in the chip compo, luckily I entered dual complex instead Demo Hotel Didn't place in the demo compo My Music from Hotel Short Notice - Co-op with Darkwolf Pictures Of just me Striking a kungfu pose Sitting at my $50 computer More or less the same as ^^^ In a group My caravan scener buddies That's me in the corner At the parkinglot unloading computers Other My Mountain Dew Mountain of Power!
